Visual Arts Development and Touring

Timoteus Anggawan Kusno, work in progress, 2016

Our Visual Arts Program collaborates with artists, curators, organisations and communities throughout the Territory to co-create and co-present touring exhibition projects which showcase the unique talents and perspectives of the region. We tour NT generated exhibitions to remote, regional and metropolitan galleries, sharing quality visual arts experiences with diverse audiences across the country.

If you have an idea for a touring exhibition that needs development support, or an existing exhibition you would like to tour, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your project. Our Visual Arts staff are always happy to hear from you.

An expression of interest may be submitted at any time and will be responded to within three weeks, at which time, you may be invited to submit a more detailed proposal. Touring Exhibition Proposals are assessed twice annually in April and September. Please make sure to refer to our Touring Exhibition Guidelines when preparing your submissions.

The Visual Arts Program also presents an exciting opportunity for curators through its SPARK NT Curator Program which awards an NT based emerging or independent curator a $10,000 fee to develop an exhibition for tour throughout the Territory.
