Juran is a multi-faceted creative that dabbles in all forms of art. Despite being Artback NT’s Marcomms manager she is a graphic designer, photographer, illustrator and social media guru. Juran is also a sultry indie-soul singer, songwriter, dancer and punk rock guitarist – an all round incredible performer (check her out on spotify!) and you’ll find her rocking stages all over the NT.

Hailing from Ngati Kahungunu and Te Aitanga o Hauiti tribes and born and raised in Aotearoa, Juran has lived in Australia almost 15 years. She moved to Ramingining at the age of 19 and spent 12 years in Arnhem Land in various Yolngu communities only moving to Darwin late 2022. She has a deep connection to land and sea and says that living in Arnhem Land bought her closer to her own identity as a Polynesian Indigenous woman.
