Michelle Bell

General Manager

Michelle joined Artback NT in late 2024. As General Manager she supports the CEO to implement the vision of Artback NT and oversee the operation and its small but mighty team.

Michelle has over 20 years’ experience working in the Arts in a range of technical, operational and senior leadership roles. She has worked at performing arts centre precincts and cultural centres including London Royal Festival Hall, Sydney Opera House, Torres Strait Island Gab Titui Cultural Centre and most recently HOTA Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast. Her major event experience has seen her deliver roles for the Solomon Islands Festival of Pacific Arts Organising Committee, Rugby League World Cup, Melbourne Moomba Festival and City of Sydney Events team to bring the City alive with the annual lighting of the Martin Place Christmas Tree and Chinese New Year festivities.

Michelle is passionate about the Arts and creating new opportunities to develop and deliver ways to engage, learn, share stories and promote it both in Australia and internationally, in all its forms.  She holds a Bachelor of Theatre Arts majoring in Stage Management and Master of Management in Community and Not for Profit Management.

Michelle is not one to shy away from new adventures and experiencing everything life has to offer. She has travelled extensively, lived in 4 countries and as a recent arrival to Darwin looking forward to exploring the region and connecting with those who call the Northern Territory home.
