The Sandridge Band

About

Borroloola favourites The Sandridge Band, known for their hard edged rock ‘n’ roll and reggae mix, are heading on a tour from Darwin to Broome! The Sandridge Band will perform a unique original blend of roots, reggae and blues from Kununurra to Broome to Fitzroy Crossing and Warmun and spots in between.

Combining traditional and contemporary songs, The Sandridge Band create music that reveals what life is like living in a small community, getting their audiences up and dancing with their huge set list that smoothly blends Indigenous languages with contemporary rock ‘n’ roll.

The Sandridge Band has produced an incredible sound in their new album, Brolga Dreaming, combining influences from each band members’ clans including Yanyuwa, Gurrawa, Mara and Gurdanji tribes of the Borroloola Gulf Region. This new release has been celebrated through a string of live shows, with The Sandridge Band performing at Alice Springs Bush Bands Bash, Tennant Creek Desert Harmony Festival, Barunga Festival and a tour through the APY Lands with Nabalek Band.
