Stone Country Festival Poster

August 2012 saw Artback NT in Stone Country: Gunbalanya community. Artback NT assisted three bands Nawedekan Mimih, Bininj and Rock Wallaby participate in a remote music course presented by Charles Darwin University. The aim of the course was to prepare them for a headline act of Darwin Festival.

The bands performed at the Festival’s Lighthouse venue to an eager audience and returned to perform next day at the Gunbalanya Stone Country Festival. The Road Safety Song Contest was also held at the festival, ensuring a huge week for live music in Gunbalanya.
