Workshop 2: Pitching and Networking | ONLINE
Thursday 28 May, 6 – 7.30pm
Two key ways to interact with an Arts Market is to “pitch” your show and network with people. Workshop 2 is a practical session for participants to trial different methods of pitching (selling) their work and to pick-up some extra networking tips.
Liz Rogers, Performing Arts Manager, Artback NT will be joined by industry experts who have a wealth of experience in the world of ‘schmoozing’ and buying/selling shows.
Workshop 2 will cover the following topics:
- What is your project
- How will your work stand out
- What to avoid doing
This workshop is suitable for all career levels. It is recommended for participants who have secured a pitching spot at APAM to attend or to be used as a professional development opportunity.
Liz Rogers is the Performing Arts Manager for Artback NT. She is responsible for supporting artists and arts workers based in the Northern Territory opportunities to tour in the Territory, nationally and internationally.
Born and raised in Darwin, Rogers spent ten years based in Sydney learning the art and logistics of theatre production in both the not-for-profit and commercial sectors. In that time, she worked predominantly on musicals and children’s shows. Roger’s work has taken her touring overseas in Australasia, the Middle East and Europe. Her unique background as a production manager, stage manager, lighting and sound designer has led to an understanding of the nuances for the productions she produces.
