Sara Higgs


Sara Higgs has been based in the Northern Territory for 11 years, predominantly working in cross-cultural visual art roles within Aboriginal corporations and the museum and art gallery sector. This includes Bula’bula Arts, Elcho Island Arts, Mangkaja Arts, Nomad Art and SALON Art Projects. Interested in the sustainability of a strong local arts industry, Sara has recently been involved in the delivery of projects such as the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and the Telstra NATSIAA Salon des Refusés. Sara has a Diploma of Visual Arts (painting and printmaking), an Arts Degree (Textile Design) from RMIT and a Masters Degree in Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne.
